TLDR Kasisadi Lepa effectively treats dandruff and promotes scalp health.
The clinical case report investigates the efficacy of Kasisadi Lepa, a classical herbo-mineral formulation, in treating Darunaka, which corresponds to dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis. The study involved a 21-day treatment with Kasisadi Lepa, applied topically on alternate days. The formulation, containing ingredients like purified Kasisa, Tuttha, Manashila, and Maricha, exhibits antifungal, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and wound-healing properties. These properties help address microbial growth, scalp inflammation, and tissue damage. The study concludes that Kasisadi Lepa offers a promising integrative therapy for long-term scalp health, aligning with both Ayurvedic and modern dermatological perspectives on dandruff treatment.
