    The case report described a 1-year-old Daschund with canine eosinophilic folliculitis, characterized by dermatological symptoms and significant hair loss. Diagnosis was confirmed through cytological examination showing 60% eosinophils. Treatment with prednisone led to significant improvement within a week and complete remission after 75 days. The report highlighted the importance of accurate diagnosis to differentiate CEF from conditions like superficial pyoderma and juvenile cellulitis, and cautioned against the use of antimicrobials without confirmed bacterial involvement.
