TLDR Essential-oils-cobalt improves goat growth and product quality.
The study on 45 castrated male cashmere goats examined the effects of dietary supplementation with Essential-oils-cobalt (EOC) on growth performance, meat quality, and skin cell capacity. Over 90 days, goats receiving 52 mg and 91 mg of EOC daily showed significant improvements in average daily gain, carcass weight, and meat and hair fiber quality. RNA-seq analysis identified numerous differentially expressed genes in skin and liver tissues, indicating EOC's role in stimulating physiological changes, particularly in the immune system. The study concluded that EOC could enhance animal growth and product quality, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms behind these improvements.
