TLDR lncRNA VIM-AS1 helps heal diabetic wounds by boosting energy production and reducing cell aging.
The study investigates the role of extracellular vesicle-derived lncRNA VIM-AS1 from human mesenchymal stem cells (HuMSCs) in promoting diabetic wound healing. It demonstrates that lncRNA VIM-AS1 enhances glycolysis and reduces cellular senescence, which are critical processes in tissue repair. The findings suggest that HuMSCs-derived EVs and lncRNA VIM-AS1 could be promising therapeutic strategies for improving wound healing in diabetic patients.
