TLDR Exosome therapy may help treat diabetic nerve damage, but more research is needed.
Exosome therapy shows promise as a novel treatment for diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), particularly in enhancing neurovascular remodeling and functional recovery. The therapy's effectiveness is increased when combined with exosome modification and innovative dressings. However, to effectively translate these findings from preclinical to clinical settings, future research must focus on conducting large-scale, well-designed preclinical trials that follow ARRIVE guidelines. This approach will improve the rigor of translation and reduce risks related to variability in study design.
