TLDR A pilomatrixoma in the eyebrow can cause hair loss and skin lightening.
A 34-year-old woman presented with a nodule and swelling in her right eyebrow, leading to localized alopecia and skin hypopigmentation. Despite treatment with topical steroids, her symptoms remained unchanged after 3 months. An excisional biopsy confirmed the presence of a pilomatrixoma, a rare occurrence with only 3 previous reports linking it to alopecia and 1 to skin hypopigmentation. The case suggests a potential association with microinflammation.
