A study conducted at Mahidol University in Thailand evaluated the effects of a single platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatment on facial rejuvenation in 40 Thai patients with an average age of 36.4 years. The treatment involved intradermal injections of PRP at 30 facial locations. Results showed a significant decrease in patient-perceived age one month post-treatment and high satisfaction scores on the FACE-Q assessment. The elasticity index (EI) of the skin improved significantly, particularly in the cheek, crow’s feet, and perioral areas, with peak improvements observed 1-2 weeks after the injection. Overall, the study concluded that a single PRP treatment led to enhanced satisfaction and noticeable improvements in facial skin youthfulness.
