Fe-MOF@Quercetin Complex with Light-Controlled Redox Modulation for Tumor Wound Repair

    The study introduces a MIL-101-(Fe)@Quercetin (MQ) complex designed to address the challenge of balancing reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels for tumor recurrence inhibition and wound healing post-melanoma excision. The MQ complex, with its unique structure, allows for light-controlled redox regulation, generating ROS under laser irradiation to inhibit tumor growth while scavenging excess ROS to promote wound healing. In vivo experiments on a mouse melanoma wound model showed that MQ Microneedles (MQ@MNs) effectively manage ROS levels, demonstrating potential for improved melanoma wound treatment through controlled ROS modulation.
