A 35-year-old man with recalcitrant folliculitis decalvans (FD), a type of scarring alopecia, was successfully treated with Erbium-YAG laser, resulting in rapid improvement without hair loss. The laser's effects on fibroblasts, skin microbiota, immune response, and angiogenesis may contribute to hair growth and reduced hyperkeratosis. However, further clinical studies are needed to better understand and confirm these benefits.
