TLDR The herbal hair serum effectively fights microbes and promotes hair growth.
The study formulated and evaluated a herbal hair serum, revealing the presence of several phytochemicals like alkaloids and flavonoids, while proteins and terpenoids were absent. The serum was dark brown, aromatic, smooth, and had a pH of 8.2, with no irritation potential. It showed significant antifungal and antibacterial activity against various pathogens, including Trichophyton spp., Candida albicans, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli. Hair regrowth studies indicated that the serum was comparably effective to standard treatments, suggesting its potential as a natural therapeutic alternative for hair growth promotion.
