TLDR Fractional microneedle radiofrequency is effective and safe for skin rejuvenation and acne scars.
This study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of fractional microneedle radiofrequency (FMR) for treating photoaging and atrophic acne scars using two devices: the Peninsula Timerevert Needle and EndyMed. Involving 20 participants, the study found that both devices were effective and safe, with no significant differences in satisfaction, physician's global assessment, erythema, or dermal density across facial sites. However, the Peninsula Timerevert Needle resulted in less pain and shorter treatment duration compared to EndyMed, albeit with a higher bleeding score. Dermal density significantly increased 3 months post-treatment. Overall, FMR is confirmed as a viable treatment for skin rejuvenation and acne scars.
