TLDR More inclusive research is needed to effectively treat frontal fibrosing alopecia in Black patients.
This systematic review addresses the treatment of frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA) in Black patients, highlighting the underrepresentation of patients with skin of color in clinical trials and scientific literature. The review evaluates clinical evidence on the efficacy of various treatment modalities for FFA in this demographic. It emphasizes the need for more inclusive research to better understand and manage FFA in patients with skin of color, as current data is limited and often not representative of this group.
