It discusses improvements in sunscreen formulations, delivery systems, and UV filters, as well as advancements in testing methodologies and regulatory guidelines. The integration of artificial intelligence in UV filter development and consumer applications is also examined. Additionally, the review highlights the potential of biotechnology to create sustainable UV filters, providing a comprehensive overview to guide future sunscreen development and address current and emerging photoprotection challenges.
