TLDR Gut microbiota and exosomal miRNAs may help treat hair loss.
This review explores the potential synergistic role of gut microbiota and exosomal miRNAs in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia (AGA). It highlights how gut microbiota can enhance hair follicle health by modulating immune responses and metabolic pathways, while exosomal miRNAs regulate the hair growth cycle by targeting suppressor molecules. The interplay between these elements suggests a novel therapeutic approach for AGA through the "microbiota-miRNA axis." However, the exact molecular mechanisms remain unclear, necessitating further research to fully understand these interactions and their therapeutic potential.
