The review found that over 70% of patients experience impaired life quality, with trichodynia and anxiety negatively impacting hrQoL, while factors like disease duration, education, employment, and marital status showed no effect. The studies often lacked justification for sample size and had potential non-response bias. The review suggests integrating psychosocial interventions with PCA treatments and calls for further research using more consistent and comprehensive tools to address the mental health needs of this patient population.
