TLDR The hydrogel platform speeds up healing in diabetic wounds.
The study presents a novel directional pressure-pump hydrogel delivery platform designed to improve healing in diabetic mechanically dynamic wounds. This platform targets lesion sites with antibacterial agents and nanozymes, disrupting bacterial biofilms and reducing tissue damage, thus enhancing the wound healing environment. The hydrogel's temperature-sensitive self-shrinkage aids in the activation of myofibroblasts, promoting orderly skin closure. Animal experiments show that this system accelerates wound closure and supports the remodeling of vascular networks and collagen fibers, offering a promising strategy for treating wounds with impaired epidermal contraction.
