Synovial Membrane Mesenchymal Stem Cell Induced IGF-1 Promotes Growth Factor Release in Conditioned Medium

    The study investigated the effects of inducing synovial membrane mesenchymal stem cells (SM-MSCs) with IGF-1 to enhance the release of growth factors and cytokines in conditioned media (CM). The researchers found that treating SM-MSCs with 150 μg/mL of IGF-1 significantly increased the concentrations of BMP-2, FGF-18, and TGF-β1 proteins in the CM. This concentration of IGF-1 was identified as a potential candidate for promoting growth factor release in CM-SMMSCs, suggesting its utility in regenerative therapy.
