The study developed bioabsorbable materials with ROS-mediation capacity for skin disease therapy by incorporating redox-sensitive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-acrylic acid) (PNA) nanogels into poly(l-lactic acid) (PLLA) nanofibrous membranes. These PNA-doped membranes improved cell adhesion and proliferation in vitro compared to native PLLA membranes. In vivo studies using a mouse wound skin model showed that these membranes promoted wound healing by adjusting ROS levels through disulfide bonds, enhancing the redox potential and achieving higher wound healing efficacy.
