Injectable regenerative treatments such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), polynucleotides (PN/PDRN), and exosome-based therapies show clinical promise in improving hair density and thickness for female pattern hair loss (FPHL), with PRP having the most consistent results and good safety profile. However, the impact of these treatments on psychological wellbeing and body image is unclear due to inconsistent assessment and lack of validated patient-reported outcomes. Further research focusing on female patients and incorporating validated measures is necessary to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care.
