Innovations in Skin and Soft Tissue Aging: A Systematic Literature Review and Market Analysis of Therapeutics and Associated Outcomes

This systematic literature review and market analysis explores emerging technologies in skin and soft tissue aging treatments, such as CRISPR-Cas9, proteostasis, flap biology, and stem cell therapies. Among these, stem cell therapies utilizing recipient chimerism are identified as the most promising for anti-aging, offering better psychosocial and cosmetic outcomes compared to other techniques. The review analyzed 35 studies and identified 87 companies involved in related innovations. The findings aim to provide physicians and patients with insights into the impact of these therapeutics on facial aesthetics and skin rejuvenation, while highlighting the need for further research on their safety and efficacy in clinical practice.
