TLDR Using Mahua cake significantly boosts Bhringraj growth in agroforestry.
The study investigated the impact of intercropping Bhringraj (Eclipta alba) within a Psidium guajava agroforestry system using a Randomized Block Design with eight treatments, including a control. Conducted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kanker, the research found that growth parameters such as plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, and collar diameter were significantly enhanced by organic nutrient sources. The treatment with 100% Mahua cake (T6) resulted in the highest growth, with a plant height of 65.15 cm, 69.90 leaves, 48.98 branches, and a collar diameter of 0.48 cm, due to the effective release of nutrients, particularly nitrogen, from the Mahua cake.
