TLDR Patients are interested in anti-aging treatments but rely on dermatologists for guidance.
The study surveyed 300 patients at the University of Michigan General Dermatology Clinic to understand the demographics and preferences of those using anti-aging therapies. It found that 53% of patients had used anti-aging treatments, and 66% expressed interest in future use, with high interest across all genders, ages, and income levels. Most patients obtained information about treatments from magazines, but they were more likely to pursue treatments when informed by a dermatologist. The study concluded that the demographics of anti-aging therapy users were changing, with a diverse range of patients seeking these treatments, and highlighted the importance of dermatologists in influencing patient decisions.
