The study explores how lncRNA018392 influences the proliferation of skin fibroblasts in Liaoning cashmere goats, particularly regarding melatonin-induced cashmere growth. It reveals that lncRNA018392 promotes cell proliferation by upregulating the CSF1R gene through binding with the transcription factor SPI1. Silencing lncRNA018392 or inhibiting CSF1R led to reduced cell proliferation, highlighting their essential roles. These insights into the molecular mechanisms of cashmere growth could inform molecular breeding strategies for cashmere goats.
