Management of Indralupta (Alopecia areata) through Ayurvedic Intervention - A Single Case Study

A single case study of a 42-year-old female with Alopecia Areata (Indralupta) demonstrated the potential efficacy of Ayurvedic interventions in managing the condition. The treatment involved a combination of internal medications and local applications, including Gunja Siddha Taila, Triphala Mashi, Rasayana Yoga, Brihat Manjisthadi Kwatha, Saptamrita Lauha, and Samshamni Vati. These therapies aimed to balance Dosha, purify Srotas, and renew hair follicles. The patient experienced a significant reduction in hair fall, itching, and lesion size, with marked hair regrowth and improved hair density by the end of the treatment, highlighting Ayurveda's holistic approach as a promising alternative for Alopecia Areata management.
