It also promotes hair growth and improves circulation when applied to the scalp. In aromatherapy, basil oil acts as a mood enhancer, reducing stress, anxiety, and mental fatigue. It provides pain relief for joints and muscles and supports respiratory health by alleviating symptoms of asthma and bronchitis. Additionally, basil oil aids digestion and supports cardiovascular health by potentially lowering blood sugar and blood pressure. Its historical uses span from ancient embalming practices in Egypt to traditional medicine in Ayurveda and Chinese medicine, highlighting its longstanding significance in various cultures.
