TLDR Outdoor physical activities improve health by reducing blood sugar, increasing good cholesterol, and decreasing obesity in people with metabolic syndrome.
This study investigated the relationship between outdoor physical activities and clinical and laboratory markers of metabolic syndrome in 380 patients. The results showed that engaging in physical activities significantly reduced the odds of increased HbA1C levels by 1.8 times, decreased HDL-cholesterol levels by 3 times, and obesity by 3.7 times compared to non-exercising individuals. The findings suggest that outdoor physical activities have a statistically significant positive impact on HbA1C, HDL-cholesterol, and obesity in patients with metabolic syndrome, and such activities can be recommended to improve health in these patients.
