TLDR Celery extract in microemulsions boosts hair growth.
This study investigated the use of microemulsions containing celery ethanol extract (Apium graveolens L.) as a hair growth promoter in rabbits. Four formulations were tested, with celery extract concentrations of 5%, 7.5%, and 10%, alongside a blank formula. The microemulsions were evaluated for various physical properties and skin irritation, all showing good stability and no irritation. Hair growth tests revealed that the 10% extract formulation significantly enhanced hair length by 2.7 times compared to the blank, indicating that higher concentrations of celery extract in microemulsions effectively stimulate hair growth.
