TLDR Adding procapil to minoxidil is more effective for hair loss than using minoxidil alone.
This study assessed the efficacy of combining topical minoxidil with procapil compared to minoxidil alone in treating androgenetic alopecia. Involving 140 patients divided into two groups, one group used 5% minoxidil twice daily, while the other alternated procapil 5% with minoxidil over 12 months. Results indicated that the combination therapy significantly improved hair count, patient satisfaction, and dermatologist assessment scores compared to minoxidil alone, with p-values of 0.0001, 0.011, and 0.0054, respectively. The study concludes that adding procapil to minoxidil is more effective than using minoxidil alone for treating androgenetic alopecia.
