TLDR miR-200c-3p could help diagnose and treat alopecia areata.
The study identifies miR-200c-3p as a novel genetic marker and potential therapeutic tool for alopecia areata (AA). Researchers found that miR-200c-3p influences the PLCG1 and RPS6KP1 genes, which regulate the EGFR tyrosine kinases resistance pathway, showing a significant increase in activity. These findings suggest that miR-200c-3p could play a theranostic role in the treatment and diagnosis of AA.
