The study investigated the effects of a combination treatment with mesenchymal stem cells and platelet-rich plasma on tendon healing. It found that inflammatory cell density increased most significantly in the combined treatment group over time. Fibroblast density was lower in the second month compared to the first month across all intervention groups. The maximum tensile breaking force analysis showed significant improvements in the treatment groups compared to control groups, with the combined group exhibiting a statistically significant increase in mean maximum breaking force from the first to the second month.
