Non-Shaven Follicular Unit Extraction With Pre-Trimming Method and a Large Session Hair Transplantation: Experience of a Brazilian Surgical Team

The study conducted a retrospective analysis on 236 patients who underwent non-shaven follicular unit extraction (FUE) with a pre-trimming method for large session hair transplantation, performed by a Brazilian surgical team. The patients, predominantly male with a mean age of 44.17 years, received more than 2,500 grafts each. The technique proved to be a safe and effective approach for treating advanced androgenetic alopecia, optimizing aesthetic outcomes and reducing social stigma associated with hair loss.
