Alopecia Areata Ophiasic with Ciliary Madarosis in a Pediatric Patient: Case Report

    TLDR A 10-year-old girl with hair and eyelash loss showed significant regrowth after treatment.
    A 10-year-old girl was diagnosed with infantile ophiastic alopecia areata and ciliary madarosis following the loss of her grandmother, which also led to a diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder. Physical examination showed band-like alopecia and partial eyelash loss. Treatment included oral corticosteroids, topical minoxidil, clobetasol hair lotion, and ophthalmic latanoprost. After 56 days, significant hair and eyelash regrowth were observed, indicating an excellent therapeutic response.
