Effect of a Peptide in Cosmetic Formulations for Hair Volume Control

The study investigated the effect of a peptide in cosmetic formulations on hair volume control under different humidity conditions, focusing on Caucasian and Asian hair. It was found that Caucasian hair experienced a greater increase in volume compared to Asian hair when exposed to both variable and high relative humidity. The incorporation of a peptide into climate control formulations significantly reduced the volume of Caucasian hair, improving hair volume change by more than 60% in high humidity conditions. This suggests that the peptide was effective in controlling hair volume, particularly for Caucasian hair, under humid conditions.
