Pharmacokinetics and Relative Bioavailability of Finasteride Tablets in Humans

    TLDR The two brands of finasteride tablets work the same in the body.
    The study investigated the pharmacokinetics and relative bioavailability of test and reference finasteride tablets in 20 healthy male volunteers using a randomized crossover design. The results showed that the pharmacokinetic parameters, including Cmax, tmax, t1/2, AUC0～24h, and AUC0～∞, were similar for both test and reference tablets. The relative bioavailability of the test tablets was 100.2%, indicating that the two brands of tablets were bioequivalent.
