The study evaluated the combined use of pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) and photobiostimulation therapy (PBST) for treating hair loss in 40 patients with androgenic alopecia and COVID-19-related hair loss. Conducted as a multicentric, retrospective, case-control study, it included 20 patients in the study group (SG) receiving both therapies and 20 in the control group (CG) receiving only PBST. After 16 weeks, the SG showed a significant increase in hair count, with 14 hairs/0.65 cm², compared to 11 hairs/0.65 cm² in the CG. The results indicate that combining PEMF with PBST is more effective for hair regrowth than using PBST alone.
