TLDR Clear glass lets most UV rays through, so it's important to know how well different glasses block UV to protect yourself.
This study examined the photoprotection provided by different types of glass, including window glass, automobile glass, and sunglasses. It was found that clear glass allowed up to 72% of UV radiation, measured from 300 to 380 nm, to pass through. The study highlighted the importance of understanding the UV transmission properties of these materials to better protect against UV exposure.
