TLDR The hair oil formulation F2 is stable, appealing, and may promote hair growth and scalp health.
The study developed and evaluated a polyherbal hair oil using extracts from Nagarmotha, Curry Leaves, Amla, Hibiscus, and Fenugreek in a coconut oil base. Three formulations (F1, F2, F3) were tested for organoleptic and physicochemical properties, as well as stability at various temperatures over six months. All formulations showed acceptable profiles, but F2 was identified as having the optimal balance of extract concentration and stability, with a pH of 5.5 and viscosity of 48.7 mPa•s. The study concludes that formulation F2 is stable, cosmetically appealing, and has potential for promoting hair growth and maintaining scalp health.
