TLDR The shampoo naturally colors and conditions hair safely without toxic chemicals.
This study presents the development and evaluation of a novel polyherbal shampoo that serves as both a natural hair colorant and conditioner, addressing concerns over the toxicity of synthetic hair dyes. The shampoo uses Lawsonia inermis and Indigofera tinctoria for coloring, enhanced by Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, and conditions hair with Aloe barbadensis, Eclipta alba, and Trigonella foenum-graecum. It has a slightly acidic pH suitable for the scalp, effective rheological properties, and ensures safe coloring from brown to black hues. The formulation maintains stability over 30 days and provides a non-toxic alternative to conventional hair dyes, combining aesthetic and therapeutic benefits.
