TLDR Many people in Central India have long-term health issues after COVID-19, highlighting the need for prevention and support programs.
The pilot study in Central India involving 248 patients discharged from AIIMS Raipur identified persistent post-COVID-19 symptoms lasting over 12 weeks, including loss of smell, taste, appetite, headaches, weakness, and breathlessness. These symptoms significantly impaired patients' quality of life, underscoring the need for interdisciplinary treatment and further follow-ups.
