Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) has been shown to enhance the repair and healing of chronic refractory wounds in rats. This is achieved by reducing inflammation on the ulcer surface and promoting collagen fiber deposition and angiogenesis. The underlying mechanism is likely related to the activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.
