    Hydrogel-assisted skin organoid engineering has made significant progress in replicating the complex architecture and functionality of human skin. Hydrogels serve as extracellular matrix mimetics that enhance the self-organization and biofabrication of skin organoids, allowing for the reconstruction of layered skin structures, the development of skin appendages, and the integration of vascular and neural networks. These advancements improve the structural and functional fidelity of skin organoids, making hydrogel-based platforms crucial for developing next-generation models. This progress is expected to accelerate applications in regenerative medicine, drug discovery, and the study of skin disorders.
