    The study investigated the protective effect of DA-9401 on finasteride-induced apoptosis in rat testis. Finasteride caused infertility and apoptosis in testicular tissue, but DA-9401 was found to attenuate these effects. The study suggests that DA-9401 may have a protective effect against finasteride-induced apoptosis in rat testis through the inositol requiring kinase 1 and c-Jun N-terminal kinase pathway. Further studies are needed to understand the interaction between 5α-reductase inhibitors and DA-9401 in the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis in humans.
