TLDR PRP may improve fertility treatment success but needs more research for safe use.
This comprehensive review examines the efficacy and safety of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in treating endometrial disorders within assisted reproductive technology (ART). PRP shows promise in enhancing endometrial receptivity by promoting cell proliferation, neo-angiogenesis, and anti-inflammatory effects, which are crucial for successful implantation. Positive outcomes have been observed in women with conditions such as adenomyosis, thin endometrial lining, recurring implantation failure, chronic endometritis, and Asherman's syndrome. However, challenges remain in determining the optimal PRP application for all infertility cases, particularly for individuals with blood disorders and infections. The study also aims to identify the safest dosage, timing, and potential long-term health risks for both mother and child.
