EMRE YALÇIN, Onur Demirci, Samuel Okonoyi, Anton Kamili
This longitudinal clinical study at Vera Clinic involving 40 male patients found that hair transplantation significantly improves psychological well-being, self-esteem, relationship satisfaction, and sexual functioning over time. Assessments conducted at baseline, 6 months, and 12 months post-transplantation showed statistically significant improvements across all domains with large effect sizes (Cohen’s d = 1.30–1.85, p < 0.001). The study highlights the interrelated nature of self-esteem, relational satisfaction, and sexual functioning, suggesting that hair transplantation benefits extend beyond cosmetic changes, potentially through enhanced body image and social feedback processes.
