The study conducted a comparative analysis of psychopathological reactions in 153 patients with diffuse alopecia, distinguishing between metabolic (45 patients) and mixed forms (108 patients). It found that cognitive symptoms, such as impaired concentration, were most prevalent, affecting 67.4% of patients, with a higher incidence in the mixed form (78.7%) compared to the metabolic form (40.0%). Somatovegetative symptoms were present in 56.9% of patients, again more common in the mixed form (62.0%) than the metabolic form (44.4%). The study highlights the need for a multidisciplinary biopsychosocial approach to manage these patients, considering the significant impact of psychopathological symptoms on their functioning.
