TLDR Digital care for hair loss significantly improves men's quality of life.
This retrospective cohort study assessed the quality of life (QoL) improvements in 580 men treated for androgenetic alopecia (AGA) via a digital healthcare platform over six months. The study found significant improvements in QoL, with the mean total QoL score decreasing from 89.07 to 76.78, indicating better QoL as lower scores represent improvement. Greater improvements were associated with 100% treatment adherence. The study highlights the potential of digital healthcare platforms to enhance treatment adherence and improve QoL in men with AGA, particularly in emotional distress and anticipatory concerns, although it notes limitations such as the lack of a direct comparator group and the need for further validation of the adapted questionnaire for men.
