TLDR A personalized nutrition plan improved hair and skin health in a young man.
This case report details the successful remission of alopecia areata and seborrheic dermatitis in a 21-year-old male through a functional nutrition approach. The patient, who experienced intensified hair loss and skin issues following a COVID-19 vaccination, underwent a three-month personalized nutrition protocol. This included an anti-inflammatory elimination diet, nutraceuticals, and topical applications. Significant improvements were observed in laboratory parameters such as homocysteine, vitamin D, insulin, and iron saturation. Clinically, the patient showed visible hair regrowth, reduced skin symptoms, improved digestion, and enhanced energy levels. The case highlights the potential of addressing root causes through functional nutrition and targeted supplementation for sustainable recovery in immune-related skin conditions.
