    Rice water, traditionally used in Asian cultures for skin and hair care, is gaining scientific interest due to its rich composition of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phenolic compounds. These components contribute to its benefits, such as enhancing skin hydration and barrier function, strengthening hair, improving shine, reducing dandruff, and promoting hair growth. Modern studies support its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and anti-aging properties. The preparation methods of rice water affect its characteristics and efficacy, allowing its use in various formulations like shampoos, conditioners, and face masks. This review explores rice water's composition, traditional uses, preparation methods, formulation strategies, stability, and therapeutic potential as a multifunctional natural ingredient in modern cosmetic science.
