TLDR Micronized-gingival connective tissues are safe and may help regenerate soft tissue around dental implants.
This pilot case series study investigated the safety and preliminary efficacy of micronized-gingival connective tissues (MGCTs) for peri-implant mucosa regeneration in 4 patients. The study found that MGCTs did not cause any irreversible adverse events and showed potential efficacy for reconstructing peri-implant soft tissues in dental implant therapy. The use of MGCTs could be a promising alternative to traditional grafting methods, offering a less invasive option without requiring high skill levels for tissue harvesting. However, further studies on a larger scale were needed to confirm these findings.
