Scalp Seborrheic Dermatitis: What We Know So Far

Scalp seborrheic dermatitis (SSD) was identified as a common chronic inflammatory skin condition linked to sebum production, bacterial proliferation, and host immunity factors. The condition was associated with specific trichoscopic features such as arborizing vessels and yellowish scales, with new findings like dandelion vascular conglomerate and "cherry blossom" vascular pattern aiding diagnosis. Traditional treatments included antifungals and corticosteroids, though new therapies were also explored.
